America 250 Celebration at the Historic King of Prussia Inn

Join the Montgomery County Chamber of Commerce for a special America 250 community celebration at one of the most historic landmarks in our region, the Historic King of Prussia Inn.

This is more than an event. It is a moment to gather where history, community, and the future of King of Prussia come together.

The King of Prussia Inn is one of the area’s most significant historic sites, with roots dating back to the early 1700s. Once a bustling stop along a major travel route between Philadelphia and the western frontier, the Inn has long been a place of connection, conversation, and community life.

It is also widely believed that this corridor was traveled by George Washington and Continental Army forces during the Revolutionary War, adding to the site’s deep historical significance.

Over time, the Inn became so well known that it helped shape the identity of the surrounding area, ultimately giving rise to the name we know today: King of Prussia.

✨ Celebrating Our Past. Honoring Our Future.

This special evening will feature the King of Prussia Historical Society, who will share the fascinating history of the Inn, the story behind how King of Prussia received its name, and the important role this landmark has played in our community for generations.

We will also welcome Eric Goldstein and Rachel Ammon from the King of Prussia Business Improvement District, who will share insight into King of Prussia today, the continued growth of our region, and the exciting future ahead for this thriving community.

Guests will also have the opportunity to celebrate the continued preservation of the Inn as we unveil a new sign inspired by the original, honoring the history of this treasured landmark while helping preserve its story for generations to come.

Event Experience

This 90-minute community celebration will include:

• Remarks from Chamber leadership, historians, and community leaders
• Stories and historical insights from the King of Prussia Historical Society
• A look at the future of King of Prussia with the King of Prussia Business Improvement District
• A special America 250 recognition moment with national anthem tribute
• Unveiling of the Inn’s new historic-inspired sign
• Optional guided mini-tours of the historic Inn and grounds
• A community group photo in front of the Inn
• Community connection and conversation
